Daily Civics: One Question a Day About How America Works
How It Works
One question a day. Everyone in the country gets the same one, so you and your cousin in another state are solving the same puzzle on the same morning.
You get three guesses. Miss one and a wrong answer disappears, so the third guess is always a coin flip rather than a wall. However you finish, you get the explanation and a link to the page that covers it properly, because the point is not the score.
Then you get a streak, and the streak is the part that gets you. Come back tomorrow and it grows. Miss a day and it goes back to zero.
There is no account and nothing is recorded. Your streak lives in your own browser and never leaves your device. It takes about twenty seconds.
Why a Daily Question
Because nobody sits down to study how their county board works, and almost everybody has twenty seconds.
Civic knowledge is not hard. It is just never delivered. A long article reaches the people who were already looking for it. One question a day reaches the people who were not, and after a month of them a person knows which level of government decides what, who their board is, and when the room is open. That is most of the distance.
If you want more than one a day, the Civic Coach will teach you a whole topic at once and remember what you missed.
